HOW LONG DOES EACH HYPNOTHERAPY SESSION TAKE?
Our initial 30-minute consultation will set the stage for our first session, which is usually 90 minutes. Each subsequent session will be 75-90 minutes. Medical support sessions are 120-140 minutes. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your session time to settle in.
HOW DO I CHOOSE A QUALIFIED HYPNOTHERAPIST?
Although many practitioners use the title of Hypnotherapist, their level of qualification, training, and expertise can vary widely. Training and education ranges from self-taught to 20 hours of an online course as their training. Search for a top qualified and board certified practitioner who has completed a minimum of 400 hours of basic training, is committed to completing Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and who underwent training that used scientifically validated methodology. A good resource for finding qualified practitioners is International Board of Hypnotherapy (IBH).
IS AN ONLINE SESSION AS GOOD AS AN IN-PERSON SESSION?
As long as you have a quiet, private, well-lit space without distractions (including beloved pets!), reliable internet connection, and good audio quality, an online Hypnotherapy session is just as effective as an in-person session. Remote sessions can even be an added benefit to the client because a) they are able to choose a home environment that provides a sense of complete safety and comfort and b) they can more easily find and work with highly qualified hypnotherapists who might be located outside of their immediate geographic region.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS OF HYPNOTHERAPY?
Accessing and altering your subconscious mind (where most of our thoughts, habits and behaviors reside) is a safe practice, and its safety and efficacy is ensured when working with a well-qualified practitioner who can help you achieve a desired goal or outcome, without negative side effects.
WILL HYPNOTHERAPY HEAL MY MENTAL/PHYSICAL/EMOTIONAL DISEASE?
No service or product offered by Chloe Lee is intended to diagnose or treat any disease or illness, psychological or mental health condition. Chloe does not practice medicine or psychotherapy and her services are not a replacement for counseling, psychotherapy, psychiatric or medical treatment. Rather it's a complementary practice that can enhance conventional treatments with approval from health care providers. Hypnotherapy is a tool to help you access your own innate self-healing abilities to create positive change in your life.
AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR HYPNOTHERAPY?
Hynpotherapy is a tool and a practice to help people re-wire subconscious beliefs, patterns, and habits for self-improvement and growth. If you are looking for someone to "fix you" without an intent to take a central role in your own self-exploratory journey, then hypnotherapy might not be the right option for you. In contrast, if you have the firm intent to Know Thyself then hypnotherapy may be an excellent option in your journey. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process in which the client is in charge of their response and ultimately responsible for their progress
IS HYPNOTHERAPY COVERED BY INSURANCE?
For some medical adjunct applications, insurance may cover in full or some portion of treatment costs. Check with your provider for details about your coverage.
HOW MUCH DOES HYPNOTHERAPY COST?
30-Minute Consultation - FREE
75-90 Minute Session - $125
120-140 Minute Medical Support Session - $155
You will begin your hypnotherapy journey by booking a set of 3 session, usually scheduled a week apart. For some specific issues, such as smoking cessation and weight management, we will book a series of 8 sessions to begin. Due to the complex nature of medical support hypnotherapy, sessions are longer and we will begin by scheduling at least 5 sessions. Please begin by booking a free consultation and we will schedule your sessions once you feel confident that you are a good candidate for hypnotherapy. If the cost of sessions is prohibitive, please email me at hello@chloejanelee.com to discuss payment options. Hypnotherapy, as I like to refer to it, is the "therapy of the people." It is your natural ability to go into hypnosis and find healing and transformation, therefore I offer a very limited number of sliding scale sessions. You might also consider attending one of my self-hypnosis workshops to gain the valuable skills to practice hypnosis at home.
ARE YOU GOING TO BRAINWASH ME?
NO. Hypnotherapy is not the same as mind control or brainwashing. Hypnotherapy is a tool for self-empowerment. Because it provides access to the subconscious mind, it gives YOU the power and control of your own thoughts, emotions, patterns, and actions. Through hypnotherapy, one is able to reverse much of the subconscious programming that we automatically and unknowingly adopted in our life - these programs are running like a computer program behind the scenes of our day to day lives.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HYPNOTIST AND A HYPNOTHERAPIST?
A Clinical Hypnotherapist is trained to help facilitate a client's genuine desire and effort to achieve personal and/or spiritual growth, eliminate unwanted habits, and to provide medical and wellness support. A Clinical Hypnotherapist is NOT the same as a stage hypnotist that performs "stage hypnosis" or "theatrical hypnosis" for entertainment purposes.
